Follow These 8 Tips To Prevent Your Scalp From Balding

Hair is an essential component of one’s beauty. It can either build your confidence or shatter it. It’s normal if you’re losing around 100 strands on a daily, but if it’s more than that, something’s not right in your body. This is why, we’ve provided you with 8 tips to understand why you’re facing hair fall and how you can target it, and also breathe life into your hair.

1. Mediterranean diet:

According to a study revealed in 2018, a Mediterranean diet is capable of removing the risk of baldness, called “androgenic alopecia”. This is a disease in which the immune system attacks hair follicles, resulting in hair loss. The diet features raw vegetables and fresh herbs which puts a full stop to hair fall.

For best results, consume high amounts of parsley, basil, and salad green three days per week.

2. Protein:

Hair fall takes place when we are deficient in nutrients and amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. If we lack these, our hair will automatically lack protein. This does not only cause hair loss but also reduces the shine of our hair.

If you eat the following foods, you will obtain protein:

  • Eggs
  • Beans and peas
  • Turkey
  • Nuts
  • Chicken
  • Eggs
  • Low-fat dairy products

3. Vitamin A:

Vitamin A is a type of retinoid that aids in healthy hair growth and improves the lifecycle of hair. But as you must have heard, less is more. Too much of Vitamin A is as bad as too little of it, so it’s important to keep it in balance.

You can’t obtain Vitamin A from nutrient sources. Foods, such as spinach, sweet peppers, and sweet potatoes are rich in Vitamin A.

4. Good hair wash routine:

Neither wash your hair too much nor wash it too less. If you wash your hair daily, it’ll strip away the natural oils. If you wash it too less, a lot of oil will build up on your scalp, leading to hair breakage.
Wash your hair on alternate days or when it needs it. Use a mild shampoo and finish off with a conditioner to keep your hair soft and maintain its luster.

5. Oil your hair before washing:

Before washing your hair, it is recommended that you oil it. You can opt for olive oil or coconut oil to deep condition your hair naturally.
Olive oil is known for preventing dryness and genetic hair loss. Whereas, coconut oil is known for preventing hair damage from grooming and UV light exposure.

Massaging oil into your scalp improves blood flow which results in the promotion of hair growth. But before you do it, make sure your scalp is not allergic to any of these oils.

For a better and faster result, consider hot oil treatment. Microwave two tablespoons of oil for 15-20 seconds, work it into your scalp and cover it with a t-shirt or microfiber towel for it to absorb. Wash it off after 1 hour.

6. Style your hair gently:

Avoid hairstyles that can be rough on your scalp, such as a ponytail and tight braids. Don’t wrap your hair tightly after washing it, because when your hair is wet, it’s vulnerable to breakage.

Avoid heat-providing hair equipment to prevent dryness.

7. Don’t get chemical treatments:

Avoid chemical dyes and treatments that involve bleaching or heat. Instead, go for organic methods of dyeing and styling.

8. Yoga:

Yoga is an excellent way to promote hair growth. Try these yoga poses to remove stress from your scalp:

  • Shoulderstand
  • Forward bend
  • Downward-facing dog
  • Camel pose
  • Kneeling pose
  • Fish pose
